I get sick, and I get hit hard. Very hard. Several times a year. It's a pathetic, vicious cycle. I was just sick two short months ago around the time my father-in-law passed away. This is about as bad as that time. Sickly, achy, fever, cold tremors, sleepless nights, gagging on my own mucus. Gross, I know. I'm going on day 4 now. Why don't I get a flu shot?, you're probably wondering. Well, 'cause I'm stubborn, and I'm arrogant. I like to think "Nah, I'm not going to get sick. Not this time. I laugh in the face of viral infections!" Meanwhile, said viral infections plot and scheme (not so different from myself), coursing through my veins, coveting my health. And, they win. Every time. That's alright, I like a challenge. And the doctors office loves me. It's win-win, right? ::insert sarcastic, doped up eye roll::
I swear to all things holy, next year, I'm getting a flu shot.
Hope you feel better soon! And yes, I do recommend the flu shot. Of course, I wouldn't make it through the winter without one.
ReplyDeleteLol, you're oh so dramatic when you're sick and I love it! I'll make sure to remind you next year when you begin your annual protest against the "flu shot fad" just how miserable you were, because that's what friends do. ;)
